The CO.STARTERS Get Started Workshop is here to help. On Saturday, January 25 from 8 a.m. to noon, the Chamber will be holding a four-hour Get Started Workshop to equip you with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn your ideas into action. Whether you’re just getting started, stuck on a particular issue, or are in need of a refresher, this workshops will provide the jumpstart needed to get you moving.
During the CO.STARTERS Get Started Workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to understand what’s driving you, to explore your idea through the CO.STARTERS Canvas, and refine your model by learning ways to get meaningful customer feedback and start pursuing your idea today. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the community and make valuable connections to help you along the way.

Kid’s Christmas Makers Market Locations and Map

The second annual Kid’s Christmas Makers Market scheduled for Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be held in the hours leading up to Rotary Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in Downtown Fostoria.  Seven Kid Makers will be set up in 5 downtown businesses; Alyssa Doogs and Taylor Leiter will have a Christmas Photo Booth complete with props at Bojhun Environmental Services, Damien Ralph will be selling handmade Christmas ornaments at Fit N Dance Shakin it with Shelly, Makayla Medina will be selling her handmade crafts including paintings, sock snowmen and slime at Brenamen Insurance & Financial Services-State Farm which is also a hot chocolate and cookie stop, Audrey and Emma Krupp will be selling seasonal gnomes made from socks at Second Wind Music Center, Rebecca Betts will be selling her Rebecca Lane natural skin care products including goat’s milk lotion, scrubs and lip balm at Melissa’s Cheer & Tumbling, and June Kelbley will be selling her popular slime and slime kits at Flippin Jimmy’s.

Chamber General Election Guide: Know What’s on the Ballot Nov. 5

Check out our 2019 General Election Guide.  Fostoria sits in three counties, be sure to look at our election guide for links to polling locations as well as what will be on the ballot November 5.  Wood County residents, not polling locations have changed for Perry and Montgomery Township Southeast. Chamber to Host Holiday Retail Weekend December 7-8

The Chamber is seeking youth and adult makers to participate in a holiday retail weekend December 7 and 8.  The events will be held in conjunction with the Fostoria Rotary Christmas Parade to ring in the Christmas shopping season.

 

The Chamber will once again host a Kid’s Christmas Makers Market in the hours leading up the Parade and this year is following it up with a Holiday Sip & Shop at the Fostoria Learning Center which will take place on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8.

The Kid’s Christmas Makers Market is open to youth under the age of 18 who would like to set up and sell handmade items at their own tables housed in various downtown businesses.

For youth to participate in the Kid’s Christmas Makers Market they must submit an application to the Chamber by Friday, November 8.  All kid maker items to be sold must be handmade, only two like sellers will be accepted and kid makers must provide their own table and chairs.  Kid makers will be paired with participating downtown businesses and will set up in their partner business location during the hours of the market.  Pairings will be made by the Chamber and pairings will not be made that place kid maker and business in direct competition.  The Kid’s Maker Market will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, December 7.

The Holiday Sip & Shop at the Fostoria Learning Center will take place after the Fostoria Rotary Christmas Parade from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Admission to the Holiday Sip & Shop is free and vendor applications are now available.  Vendor applications are available at the Chamber or office or by clicking here and the vendor deadline is November 30, space is limited.
