Located where CSX and Norfolk Southern lines intersect—known as Fostoria’s “Iron Triangle”. It’s a must-visit for railfans and photographers alike. Open 24/7, the 5.6 acre Rail Park provides a 360º viewing platform that allows you to experience the sights and sounds of the 100+ trains that travel through Fostoria on a daily basis on the surrounding rails that form a triangle. Restrooms and vending machine available. There is a kiosk on site for community information.

LE&W Depot

- This 1880’s LE&W (Lake Erie & Western) depot is one of Fostoria’s historic railroad buildings still in existence. The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society (FRPS) is the current owner of this passenger depot. Railroad historic items are on display for the public to view.
Fostoria Historical Museum

Fostoria Area Historical Museums contain many items of interest from Fostoria’s past, including an extensive collection of items from John B. Rogers Producing Company, America’s largest producer of amateur theatricals; many items that belonged to Governor Charles Foster, Fostoria’s most important citizen; a classroom display containing many items from the former Whittier School; a Victorian life exhibit and a 1918 Allen Motor Car, manufactured in Fostoria on the site now occupied by the Fostoria Post Office.

Fostoria Area Historical Museum, 123 W. North St. — The main historical museum is in Fostoria’s oldest public building, with the original portion being constructed in 1875. At one time, the building housed all city offices and departments, including the police and fire departments.
- Foster’s Museum on Main, 105 N. Main St. — This museum houses a permanent collection of items that belonged to Fostoria’s namesake native,0hio Governor Charles Foster, and his family.
Fostoria Glass Heritage Gallery

The Fostoria, Ohio Glass Association’s Glass Heritage Gallery is dedicated to preserving and illustrating the history of Fostoria, Ohio glass. Fostoria had 13 different plants at various times during the period of 1887-1921. Most of the 1,000 pieces of glass in the Gallery are on loan from over 100 collectors. Each glass case has signage designating the manufacturer and the name or number of the pattern. Call for special appointments. No admission charge & handicapped accessible. Tours welcome!
Public Art & Sculpture Trail

As part of the Midwest Sculpture Initiative, Fostoria features a rotating outdoor sculpture display. Eight new sculptures were added recently, adding vibrant public art throughout the downtown area. To learn more and a self-guided tour, check out our 2025/2026 MSI Tour Map.

Fostoria is proud to be a “connector trail” to the barn quilt displays in surrounding counties and home to several murals, including a Vicki Murphy mosaic mural in the Parkette on the corner of Main and North Street. Our vast collection of public art may be viewed in a self guided tour, Downtown Art Walk.
Public Art in Fostoria is made possible through private donations, Greater Fostoria Community Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.

Foundation Park

Formerly known as Meadowlark Park, Foundation Park boasts 13 baseball and softball fields, a tennis court, playground, picnic shelters, restrooms, concessions and the outdoor Wainwright Amphitheatre. Foundation Park is also home to the only Dog Park in Fostoria – newly opened July 2012 and proving very popular with our dog-loving residents! The Dog Park has two separate fenced-in areas for large and small dogs, and dog owners are asked to abide by Ohio’s Vicious Dog Law; dogs displaying aggression toward any other dog or owner are not permitted in the Dog Park. Foundation Park is located on 50 acres at South Union Street and Woodland Avenue in Seneca County.
Foundation Park is also the site of a free brush drop-off/mulch center for Fostoria residents. Open from dawn to dusk 365 days a year, you may drop off brush in the fenced in area in the appropriate pile at your convenience. City employees are on site from 8 to 11 a.m. every FIRST Saturday of the month to help residents load/unload brush and mulch.

- Buckley Street Courts are home to newly resurface pickle ball and tennis courts.
City Park
Vine St. between Elm and Fremont Streets
- City Park features a playground, horseshoe pits, basketball court, shelter house, skate park. A splash pad is under construction with plans for an inclusive playground. The shelter house is available via reservation through the City of Fostoria Executive Secretary, 419-435-8282. The shelter house holds up to 96 occupants and features 12 eight-foot picnic tables, two charcoal grills, restrooms, eight electrical outlets, and a sink/kitchenette.
Gray Park

Gray Park sets on 2.5 acres and features include a playground, sledding hill, picnic tables and picnic shelters, and charcoal grills. It is located on directly across from City Park on Vine Street between Elm and Fremont streets in Hancock County.
Portage Park

- On its 22 acres, Portage Park boasts a disc golf course, walking trail, picnic tables and picnic shelters, grills, outdoor amphitheater, and natural area.
Fostoria Reservoirs

Fostoria is home to six reservoirs comprised of more than 450 acres of water and more than 700 acres of land. Five of the six reservoirs are named after Fostoria war heroes and the newest reservoir is dedicated in honor of all veterans. Each reservoir is open for fishing to those with a valid Ohio fishing license and each one offers a walking trail with a different view.
Reservoir 1: Lake Daughtery — 11 water acres, 22 land acres offering fishing and a .6-mile stone walking trail tucked neatly in a wooded area at the edge of town.
Reservoir 2: Lake Mottram — 17 water acres, 25 land acres offering fishing, and a paved .69-mile walking trail also edged by a woods and near the city park.
Reservoir 3: Lake Lamberjack — 31.7 water acres, 46 land acres offering fishing, boating and a paved 1.29 mile walking trail surround by woods and located adjacent to Lake Mottram.
Reservoir 4: Lake Mosier — 91 water acres, 160 land acres offering fishing, boating and a 1.49-mile stone walking trail surround by woods.
Reservoir 5: Lake LeComte —128 water acres, 194.5 land acres offering fishing, ice fishing, boating and waterfowl hunting. This reservoir also has a 1.8-mile stone walking trail surround by woods and farmland.
Reservoir 6: Veterans Memorial — 180 water acres, 300 land acres offering fishing, ice fishing, boating and waterfowl hunting.
This reservoir also has a 2.3-mile stone walking trail surrounded by woods and farmland.
