Fall is in the air and Downtown Fostoria invites you to celebrate the changing colors with unique local shopping and regionally brewed craft beers and wines during the Downtown Fostoria Fall Open House Weekend October 7 and 8. 

The Downtown Fostoria Fall Open House weekend kicks off on Friday, October 7 with our friendly downtown businesses welcoming you in with shopping specials on unique home décor, clothing, jewelry, gift items, specialty coffee drinks, pastries and so much more.  On Saturday, October 8 from 9 a.m. to Noon the Geary Family YMCA will host their 2nd Annual Chalk Walk, planned by the Geary Family Leaders Club.  Chalk Walk is open to Adults and Youth up to 17 years old as well as Businesses.  They provide the chalk you provide the creative talents. Saturday will also host the third annual Fostoria Beer Mile and The UrbanWoody Brewery Oktoberfest will take place featuring beer and wine from 5 regional breweries and wineries.

Downtown Fostoria Shopping, Dining and Attractions

Fostoria Beer Mile:

Each October in the heart of downtown Fostoria, Clear Choice Exteriors and The UrbanWoody Brewery host the Fostoria Beer Mile. Each participant runs a 400-meter lap and then drinks a beer, 4 times. Proceeds go to a local organization. This year Fostoria Beer Mile will take place Saturday, October 8 beginning at 2:00 p.m. REGISTER 

The UrbanWoody Brewery Oktoberfest:

Held in the heart of Downtown Fostoria in Market Square Park, TUWB Oktoberfest celebrates craft beers and wine made regionally.  The event will feature 5 regional breweries; Funky Turtle, The Laird Arcade Brewery, Neon Ground Hog, Inside the Five and The UrbanWoody Brewery.  Two wineries will also be on hand, Majestic Oak Winery and Fostoria’s own HoneyBee Winery.  Oktoberfest begins at 3 p.m. and feature live music from Tim N Liz from 4-6 p.m. and Big Red Deluxe from 7-10 p.m.  There will be kids activities including bounce houses, games and face painting.  A Corn Hole Tournament will begin at 5 p.m.  Learn More.
