and then look for PocketSights Tour of 2023/2024 Midwest Sculpture Initiative Exhibit in Fostoria, Ohio to see eight sculptures that are in Fostoria through April/May 2021 as part of this unique outdoor display.

Also check out PocketSights Tour of “Downtown Art Walk – Fostoria, Ohio” to see our beautiful murals, permanent sculptures and community barn quilt displays as well! This tour is about 1 mile and covers over 30 unique pieces of public art.

Fostoria Area Historical Society

The Fostoria Area Historical Society operates two museums. The main branch is located at 123 West North Street in an 1875 fire station, Fostoria’s oldest public building. It features many items from Fostoria’s past: an extensive collection from the John B. Rogers Producing Company, America’s largest producer of amateur theatricals, a Victorian life exhibit, a 1918 Allen Motor Car, manufactured in Fostoria; a WWII era Seagrave fire engine and much more.

Foster’s Museum at 105 North Main Street is named after two-time Ohio Governor Charles Foster, Fostoria’s native son. The museum contains many of the Foster family belongings and other displays related to Fostoria.

In addition, The History Corner, located at the corner of North Main & West North Street will be used for special events and exhibits.

Both museums are open on Saturdays, May-October from 1-4 p.m. or by appointment.

Fostoria Ohio Glass Association: The Glass Heritage Gallery

A museum for the glass made in the 13 glass plants in Fostoria, Ohio from 1887-1920. The Glass Heritage Gallery specializes in displays from ten of the companies that made glass in Fostoria, including: The Fostoria Glass Company, The Nickel Plate Glass Company, The Fostoria Shade & Lamp Co., the Mosaic Glass Company, the Fostoria Glass Specialty Company and more.

The gallery is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday or by appointment.

Fostoria Rail Preservation Society: The Fostoria Iron Triangle Visitor Center & Viewing Area

Open 24/7, the 5.6 acre Rail Park provides a 360º viewing platform that allows you to experience the sights and sounds of the 100+ trains that travel through Fostoria on a daily basis on the surrounding rails that form a triangle. Restrooms and vending machine available. There is a kiosk on site for community information.

Fostoria Rail Preservation Society: Lake Erie and Western (LE & W) Depot

FRPS holds an annual Santa at the Depot from Thanksgiving to Christmas. With more than 275 volunteer hours each season, the depot is beautifully decorated with more than 70+ trees both inside and out. In addition, FRPS hosts an annual Wine & Cheese Tasting event in early December.

The UrbanWoody Brewery & The HoneyBee Winery

The UrbanWoody Brewery is a nano brewery with hand-crafted beers of all styles, made mostly with Ohio grains and hops. The HoneyBee Winery is the first winery in Seneca County! Veteran owned and operated. Open Thursday & Friday 5 – 10 p.m. and Saturday 3 p.m.-10 p.m. Often features live music and food vendors. Follow them on Facebook for the latest schedule.
